By downloading, installing, or using Pookies ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

• You must be 18 years or older to use Pookies.
• By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users found to be underage.

Pookies is an AI-powered dating application that allows users to connect with other users. The app features an AI assistant ("Pookie Agent") that can send messages on your behalf using virtual coins.

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
• Users may not create multiple accounts for deceptive, abusive, fraudulent, or commercial purposes.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Accounts showing no activity for 24 consecutive months may be permanently deleted. We will attempt to notify you before deletion using the contact details on your account.

• Pookie Coins are virtual currency used to activate AI-powered features within the app.
• Coins are purchased through in-app purchases via Google Play or Apple App Store.
• Coin prices, bundle sizes, and promotional offers are displayed within the app and may change at our discretion. Promotional pricing is time-limited and not guaranteed.
• All purchases of Pookie Coins are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or the policies of the relevant app store platform.
• Pookie Coins have no real-world monetary value and cannot be transferred to another user, redeemed for cash, or exchanged outside the app.
• If you initiate a chargeback or payment reversal through your bank or app store platform without a valid basis, Pookies reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account.
• Any unused Pookie Coins at the time of account termination or deletion are forfeited and non-refundable.

• The Pookie Agent is an AI assistant that sends messages on your behalf based on your preferences and personality inputs.
• The cost per AI-generated message is displayed within the app and is deducted from your Pookie Coins balance.
• AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate, contextually appropriate, or reflect your intended meaning.
• You are responsible for all messages sent through your account, including messages generated by the Pookie Agent.
• Pookies does not guarantee any specific outcome — including match success or relationship formation — from using the AI feature.
• Pookie Agent is not a mental health professional, crisis service, emergency service, legal advisor, or medical provider. Messages generated by Pookie Agent should not be treated as professional advice of any kind. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, medical emergency, or legal situation requiring professional guidance, please contact the appropriate professional service immediately.
• Personality information, preferences, and other data you voluntarily provide to train or personalise the Pookie Agent may be processed by artificial intelligence systems, including third-party AI providers, to generate responses and improve app functionality. This processing is carried out in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the app if you are under 18 years of age.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, intimidate, or stalk other users.
• Share explicit, obscene, or sexually graphic content in any part of your profile or messages.
• Post nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, or gore.
• Share or distribute content that sexualises, exploits, or harms minors in any way. Any such content will be reported to the relevant authorities.
• Post or share content that promotes hatred, discrimination, violence, or harassment against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, disability, gender, sexual orientation, age, or other protected characteristics.
• Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation.
• Use the app for commercial solicitation, advertising, or spam.
• Share another user's personal information without their explicit consent.
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, scrape, or in any way disrupt or interfere with the app or its underlying systems.
• Create fake profiles, use misleading photos, or provide false information.
• Use the app for any illegal purpose under Indian law or the laws of your jurisdiction.

You are solely responsible for your own safety when interacting with other users — both within the app and if you choose to meet in person. By using Pookies, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

We strongly recommend:

• Never sharing your personal financial information with any match.
• Meeting for the first time only in public places.
• Telling a trusted person where you are going before meeting a match.
• Video calling before meeting anyone in person.
• Trusting your instincts — if something feels wrong, report and block the user immediately.

Pookies is not responsible for the conduct of any user inside or outside the app.

• Users can report inappropriate behaviour using the report button on any profile or chat.
• Users can block any other user at any time.
• Pookies reviews all reports and reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• We have zero tolerance for abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or illegal behaviour.

• You retain ownership of all content you post on Pookies, including photos, bio information, and messages.
• By posting content, you grant Pookies a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the app. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to any retention obligations under applicable law.
• You must not post content that is offensive, explicit, misleading, or that violates the rights of any third party, including copyright or privacy rights.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms at any time and without notice.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pookies, its owner, and any affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or liabilities (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the app; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) any content you post or transmit through the app.

• You may delete your account at any time from the app settings.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
• Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• Unused Pookie Coins are forfeited upon account termination and are non-refundable.

• Pookies does not guarantee that you will find a match, a relationship, or any particular outcome from using the app.
• We do not verify the identity or intentions of any user.
• We are not responsible for the behaviour of any user, whether within or outside the app.
• The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Pookies and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or personal injury — arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via the email registered to your account.
