Authentic profiles only.

• Use photos that genuinely represent how you look today. No heavy filters that fundamentally change your appearance, no photos of someone else, no group photos where it isn't clear which person you are.
• Your age, name, and profile information must be accurate. Misrepresenting yourself — including your age, relationship status, gender, or location — is not allowed.
• You must be 18 or older to use Pookies. If we find or reasonably suspect you are under 18, your account will be terminated immediately.
• Do not create an account to impersonate another person, whether a private individual, public figure, or another Pookies user.

How you treat people here matters.

• Treat every person on this app with basic respect — regardless of whether you match with them, like their profile, or agree with their choices.
• Unsolicited explicit messages or photos are not allowed. If someone hasn't asked for it, don't send it.
• Do not send repeated messages to someone who has not responded or has clearly indicated they are not interested.
• Do not threaten, intimidate, blackmail, or coerce any user in any way.
• Do not coordinate with other users to target, report-bomb, or harass a specific person.
• Be cautious when moving conversations to WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, SMS, or any other platform. Pookies cannot moderate or review interactions that occur outside the app.
• Do not share screenshots of private conversations or profiles without the consent of the individuals involved.

Everyone is welcome here.

• Content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, disability, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
• Slurs, dehumanising language, and content designed to demean or exclude groups of people have no place on Pookies — in profiles, bios, or messages.
• This includes "jokes" and "edgy humour" that targets protected characteristics. If it's designed to demean, it's not welcome here.

This is a dating app, not a marketplace.

• Do not ask other users for money, gifts, financial details, or cryptocurrency — under any circumstances or framing.
• Do not promote products, services, businesses, or social media accounts.
• Do not use Pookies to recruit users into pyramid schemes, investment opportunities, or any commercial arrangement.
• Romance scamming — building a false emotional connection to manipulate someone financially — is grounds for immediate and permanent termination, and may be reported to law enforcement.

One you, one account.

• Do not create profiles with the intent to deceive — including posing as a different gender, age, or identity than your own.
• Users may not create multiple accounts for deceptive, abusive, fraudulent, or commercial purposes.
• Do not use bots, scripts, or automated tools (outside of Pookies' own Pookie Agent feature) to send messages or interact with other users.
• Catfishing — presenting yourself as a different real or fictional person — will result in immediate account termination.

Keep your public profile appropriate.

• Profile photos, bios, and display names must not contain nudity, sexual content, or sexually suggestive material.
• Explicit content of any kind sent in messages — including photos, videos, or graphic descriptions — without the explicit consent of the recipient is not allowed.
• This extends to content involving violence, gore, or anything designed to shock or disturb.

This is our hardest line.

• We are required to — and will — report such content to the relevant authorities, including the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and law enforcement.
• If you encounter any content involving minors, report it immediately using the in-app report button.

The AI is a tool — you're still responsible.

• The Pookie Agent sends messages on your behalf. You remain responsible for those messages.
• Do not use the Pookie Agent to send spam, misleading messages, solicitations, or harassing content at scale.
• Pookie Agent is not a substitute for real connection — use it to start conversations, not to deceive people about who you are or what you're looking for.
• Pookie Agent is not a mental health professional, crisis service, legal advisor, or medical provider. Do not treat its messages as professional advice of any kind.

We take this seriously.

You can report any profile, message, or behaviour using the report button visible on every profile and in every chat. We review all reports. While we review all reports, response times may vary depending on report volume and severity.

Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, enforcement actions include:

Severe violations — including scamming, CSAM, impersonation, or coordinated harassment — result in immediate permanent termination without a prior warning stage.

We care about what happens off-screen too.

• Never share financial details, your home address, or workplace information with someone you haven't met and established trust with.
• Always meet for the first time in a public place. Tell someone you trust where you're going.
• Video call before meeting in person.
• If someone makes you uncomfortable — block and report them. You owe no one an explanation.
• Be cautious when moving conversations to WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, SMS, or any other platform. Pookies cannot moderate or review interactions that occur outside the app.
• Do not share screenshots of private conversations or profiles without the consent of the individuals involved.
• Pookies does not verify user identities or conduct background checks. Your safety is a shared responsibility.
